About The Position

ECU Health is seeking motivated interns to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment. Internship opportunities may be in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Information Services, and other corporate services. The intern will assist with research and analysis, support projects and strategic decisions, collaborate across departments, and perform administrative tasks. The position requires the ability to work 40 hours per week prior to completion of the internship.

ECU Health Medical Center is one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina and the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health. It serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and provides acute and intermediate care, rehabilitation, and outpatient health services to a 29-county region.

Requirements

• Preferred GPA of 3.0.
• Acceptable criminal background check and acceptable disciplinary and attendance history.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week prior to completion of the internship.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in research and data analysis across various projects.
• Support the development and implementation of project plans.
• Collaborate with team members from different departments to achieve project goals.
• Participate in meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation as required.
• Conduct market research and provide insights to support strategic decisions.
• Perform administrative tasks to support daily operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
