About The Position

The Workforce Innovation Opportunities Act (WIOA) Manager will work closely with the Workforce Programs team to focus on improving enrollment and retention efforts throughout the school network. This position manages the training and implementation of the WIOA program, services, and strategies through the network. This position will collaborate with the organization’s Public Relations, Community Outreach, External Affairs Departments, and school leadership to develop and implement new initiatives involving community-based organizations and community coalitions to support awareness of programs and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or 2 years’ equivalent work experience demonstrating applicable skills in a relevant industry or discipline.
  • 2+ years’ experience working in Workforce Development Programming, Community relations, partnership development, coalition work or relevant experience.
  • Experience in Program development and implementation
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel in the performance of job duties is required
  • Vision: Ability to read small print and view a computer screen for prolonged periods, prepare, or inspect documents and operate office equipment.
  • Hearing: Ability to hear average or typical conversations and receive ordinary information.
  • Speech: Ability to be understood in face-to-face communication, in person or remote, to speak with a level of proficiency and volume to be understood over a telephone or computer.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the launch and implementation of WIOA Training through a Learning Management System
  • Partner with the Learning & Development team to ensure WIOA training and all related communication about the training are seamless.
  • Partner with the Compliance team to ensure all Workforce Development Activities are accurately input into the Student Information System
  • Work with Data+Design and Compliance team to ensure that all data entered into the Student Information System is accurately reflected in Organization Data dashboards for school leadership.
  • Review all WIOA MOUs with school leaders and WIOA partners to ensure that all elements of the MOU are accurate, including program deliverables, pricing, terms, and any other variable information, annually
  • Develop, execute, and maintain new WIOA MOUs throughout the network.
  • Interpret relevant federal rules and regulations to make decisions regarding Program issues and WIOA legislative updates.
  • Participate in Workforce Development Board meetings to ensure that we have the most up-to-date information on WIOA funding, program deliverables, accountability, and other elements that may directly affect our WIOA School programs.
  • Meet with local teams to review current WIOA partnerships and identify areas of improvement.
  • Create quarterly WIOA reports for LLAC and school teams to highlight WIOA programming and partnerships throughout the network.
  • Collect and organize all relevant WIOA data and program implementation evidence
  • Prepare WIOA Board reports for all WIOA schools
  • Create a repository of Virtual Workforce Development Activities that can be accessed by all schools to help ensure that all students meet the required annual workforce development activity standard.
  • Participate in monthly meetings with WIOA partners to review current program processes and procedures to ensure smooth implementation and expedited student referral and screening.
  • Perform administrative duties, responsibilities, and activities that may be assigned or changed from time to time.
  • Manage, coordinate, supervise, coach, and direct the hiring, training, or performance evaluations of team members and oversee their daily activities

  • Salary Range: $70,304.00 - $89,250.00 Salary
