About The Position

The Workforce Health Program Manager is responsible for promoting and improving worker well-being for Riverside and the communities we serve. The Manager will focus on creating and supporting occupational health initiatives and supporting site-based clinics. Some of these initiatives include program development and growth, program assessments, and supporting long-range strategies. This position will be responsible for the business operations of the Workforce Health and Immediate Care team and embody a continuous improvement mentality for the team and organization. Manager will ensure and maintain operational efforts are within the guidelines, policies, and procedures of the modern immediate care model. Manager will possess background in the healthcare setting, urgent care, occupational health, and leadership.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of medical practice or office management experience including at least two years in a health care organization required.
  • OSHA, EEO, ADA, and HIPAA knowledge is required, ICD 10 and CPT coding knowledge preferred.
  • Basic Microsoft office skills required.
  • Breath Alcohol, Drug Screen, Spirometry (NIOSH) and Hearing conservation (CAOHC) certifications required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Develops all aspects of the Occupational Health Program, including development and implementation of policies and procedures to maintain the program.
  • Coordinates the Occupational Health Program, both internally and externally, with the Medical Director. Promotes awareness of program within the community, employers, and providers.
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates program effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of service.
  • Maintains consortium program. Acts as a resource and educator for WFH clients.
  • Support and develop wellness programs for workforce health clients.
  • Represents the Occupational Health Program as requested at various internal and external meetings, committees, and organizations as deemed appropriate.
  • Interviews, hires, counsels, and/or disciplines according to established hospital and departmental policies.
  • Oversees the day to day operations of multiple Immediate Care and the Workforce Health Clinic locations, and provides daily supervision to clerical and clinical staff.
  • Development of staff and provider schedules to ensure appropriate number of staff are assigned for patient volume.
  • Monitors staff compliance with mandatory education and training.
  • Monitors performance improvement and quality control activities, while working with staff for continuous performance improvement.
  • Ensures staff work as a cohesive team and treat patients for both immediate care and occupational health needs.
  • Responsible for all cash management activities.
  • Monitors site performance related to monthly financials and budget.
  • Responsible for all Financial reporting, monthly revenue and collection reporting.
  • Generate revenue through the sale of occupational health care services and products to employers by identifying new business opportunities along with growing existing client business.
  • Optimizes utilization of EPIC and Agility to ensure timely and accurate patient registrations, scheduling, charge entry, and coding.
  • Administer and maintain current computer software for occupational medicine, including setting up new users and assisting users at other locations.
  • Oversee yearly equipment certifications (BAT, Audio, Spirometry, Port-a-count).
  • Maintains current knowledge of insurance programs for WC reimbursement and ICD-10 coding.
  • Maintains current knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and other relevant areas.
  • Monitors compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains accurate Paylocity timekeeping records in keeping with Riverside policies and federal law.
  • Oversee and rounds with other RMG sites to ensure the Occupational Health visits are processed accurately.
  • Works with ancillary medical services, such as physical therapy, employee health, lab, and occupational therapy to provide prompt medical services to client companies.
  • Assists Director, Medical Director, and Sales staff in administrative tasks.
  • Assists with special projects on sites and assignments as needed.
