About The Position

The Building Performance Association is looking for a dynamic, full-time Workforce Development Coordinator. To fulfill the mission of the Building Performance Association to advance the performance of residential buildings, the Workforce Development Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operational execution of the Association’s workforce initiatives. This role owns the quality and completeness of all program deliverables, including participant records, compliance documentation, and funder and state reporting. It focuses on the implementation of Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAP) and the fulfillment of specific state contract requirements. This is a task-oriented position requiring industry experience to ensure that training, credentialing, and reporting activities align with organizational and contractual standards.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to manage high-volume, detailed technical and administrative workflows with strong follow-through.
  • Practical understanding of the building science and energy efficiency sectors to effectively communicate with partners and contractors.
  • Ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders through professional written and verbal communication.
  • A team player who works effectively with staff and external partners under the direction of the Director of Outreach.
  • Proven experience in building science, construction, or energy efficiency sectors is required.
  • Direct experience administering a Registered Apprenticeship Program is required.
  • Willingness to travel for stakeholder meetings, program activities, and conferences (approximately 20-30%).

Nice To Haves

  • Building Science Principles (BSP) Certificate of Knowledge is highly desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily activities required to promote and implement Registered Apprenticeship Programs, including enrollment management, progress tracking, and graduation documentation for apprentices.
  • Support the implementation and administration of workforce development contracts and related initiatives, ensuring timely completion of deliverables, reporting, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for departments of labor, workforce boards, and employer sponsors regarding daily program operations.
  • Contribute to the development of, maintain, and distribute technical resources, career path outlines, and on-the-job training materials for contractors and weatherization agencies.
  • Track program outcomes rigorously to support contract compliance and high-stakes grant reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the development of project schedules and internal procedures to support the Association’s workforce development goals.
