About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Workers Compensation Plant Representative III who will play a crucial role in setting up and managing workers' compensation claims at our plant. You will ensure all claims are accurately coded and documented, conduct thorough investigations, and collaborate with various stakeholders to facilitate effective claim management and cost control.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Illinois Workers' Compensation claims management
  • 3+ years of compensation claims management experience
  • Proficiency in workers' compensation claims handling and claims management
  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Set up and enter new claims into the claim management system, ensuring correct claim coding and proper documentation.
  • Perform critical claim technical tasks, including plant investigations and 3-point contacts.
  • Interview claimants, employers, medical professionals, legal counsel, and witnesses, preparing thorough investigation summaries.
  • Prepare files for outside counsel and assist in the management of claim files to reduce or maintain medical costs, lost time duration, and litigation expenses.
  • Participate in case management meetings, collaborating with medical, human resources, and labor teams to facilitate return-to-work plans.
  • Support other claim representatives with larger or more complex claims as necessary.
  • Process medical and related expense payments.
  • Serve as the primary Workers' Compensation Claims Handler at the plant, focusing on excellent customer service and quality claims handling.
