We are looking for an experienced and skilled Workers' Compensation Specialist to join our team.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field
- 2 or more years experience with claims administration, case management, or a related field
- Familiarity with workers' compensation, ADA or applicable laws and regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
- Experience using the benefits or claims systems
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel as required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Responsibilities
- Manage the full scope of workers’ compensation activities and serve as a key point of contact for employees and leadership.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on workers’ compensation, leave regulations, and disability programs and our safety program.
- Oversee return-to-work planning, including modified or transitional assignments.
- Complete and submit First Reports of Injury in a timely and accurate manner.
- Act as a liaison between employees, healthcare providers, and third-party administrators.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records within claims management systems.
- Conduct ongoing check-ins with employees throughout their recovery.
- Collaborate with external partners, including participation in periodic claim reviews.
- Support investigations as needed, including documentation and on-site follow-up.
- Identify and suggest improvements to policies to maintain compliance with current regulations.
- Interface with attorneys and represent the agency at hearings.
