About The Position

The Workday Functional Analyst I plays a role in the continued maintenance and support of their functional areas. This role collaborates closely with the human resources, recruiting, and information technology teams, serving as the technical subject matter expert. The analyst assists with improving business processes and implementing new features. Additionally, the Workday Functional Analyst I acts as a Tier 2 support resource, responsible for educating end-users, supporting case management, and responding to time-sensitive inquiries within their functional area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Workday HCM experience or training preferred.
  • HR functional and system experience preferred.
  • Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with HR clients, cross-functional colleagues, and IT.
  • Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess needs.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the HRIS partner supporting their workstreams in Workday.
  • Provide consultation to human resource and recruiting team members, building domain knowledge, gathering requirements, providing solutions and impact analysis.
  • Research current and upcoming Workday capabilities.
  • Evaluate releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use of Workday.
  • Configure, test, validate, and implement business process changes in Workday.
  • Assist in testing of integrations, security, and annual events.
  • Maintain master data values in Workday (e.g., Job Posting Locations, Onboarding Documents).
  • Build various reports and analytics in Workday.
  • Serve as an escalation resource for Tier 2 issues, investigating and resolving Workday issues, unexpected results, or process gaps.
  • Provide input and knowledge sharing with HRIS Manager, Workday Team Members, and other stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen.
  • Report to work when scheduled and on time.
  • Participate in off-hours on-call rotation.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
