About The Position

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Workday Functional Consultant for a long-term onsite/hybrid opportunity in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience across the complete Workday HCM Suite and should be comfortable supporting an enterprise migration from SAP SuccessFactors to Workday. This role requires a functional Workday consultant who can work closely with HR, payroll, benefits, recruiting, compensation, talent, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, support configuration, validate business processes, assist with data migration, perform testing, and ensure a smooth transition from SAP SuccessFactors into Workday. The candidate must be available to work onsite in Houston 4 days per week.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of HRIS / Workday / enterprise HCM systems experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience as a Workday Functional Consultant.
  • Experience supporting the complete Workday HCM Suite.
  • Strong experience with Workday Core HCM configuration and business process setup.
  • Experience with multiple Workday modules such as Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, Talent, and Performance.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors to Workday migration or strong experience supporting Workday implementation/migration from another HCM platform.
  • Strong understanding of HR business processes, employee lifecycle events, organization structures, position management, job profiles, and supervisory organizations.
  • Experience with Workday business process configuration including approvals, notifications, condition rules, validations, and security.
  • Experience supporting data migration, data validation, EIB uploads, testing, and production readiness activities.
  • Experience with Workday reporting, calculated fields, dashboards, and report troubleshooting.
  • Strong ability to work with HR, IT, payroll, benefits, recruiting, compensation, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and issue-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the enterprise migration from SAP SuccessFactors to Workday HCM.
  • Work with HR and business stakeholders to understand current SAP SuccessFactors processes and map them into Workday.
  • Support configuration and functional validation across the complete Workday HCM Suite.
  • Assist with Core HCM setup including supervisory organizations, staffing models, job profiles, positions, worker data, business sites, and organization structures.
  • Support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including hire, rehire, transfer, promotion, termination, job change, compensation change, and organizational changes.
  • Work across Workday modules such as Core HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, Talent, and Performance.
  • Review existing SAP SuccessFactors data, processes, workflows, and business rules to support migration planning and Workday configuration.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, process mapping, design sessions, and functional workshops.
  • Configure, test, and troubleshoot Workday business processes, approvals, notifications, validations, condition rules, and security-related workflow issues.
  • Support data conversion, data validation, data cleanup, and migration testing from SAP SuccessFactors to Workday.
  • Partner with technical integration teams on EIBs, data loads, downstream feeds, and Workday integration-related testing.
  • Create and support Workday reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and validation reports as needed.
  • Support Workday security validation including role-based security groups, domain security, business process security, and user access testing.
  • Perform unit testing, system integration testing, regression testing, UAT support, production validation, and post-go-live support.
  • Track defects, document issues, coordinate resolution, and work with stakeholders to ensure timely closure.
  • Support Workday release testing, configuration changes, and production support activities.
  • Provide functional guidance to HR users and support knowledge transfer, documentation, and change management activities.
