About The Position

Kainos is seeking a Principal Workday Financials Solution Architect to provide technical and functional leadership across complex Workday Financials programmes. The role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior client stakeholders, influence strategic transformation initiatives, support business growth, and help develop Kainos’s Workday Financials practice.

The architect will lead solution design and delivery for large-scale Workday Financials implementations, advise executive finance stakeholders, resolve complex functional and business challenges, and guide delivery teams toward high-quality, scalable, sustainable solutions. The role also contributes to pre-sales, proposals and client presentations, and to the development of Workday talent through mentoring, coaching and knowledge sharing. The successful candidate will represent Kainos as a Workday Financials subject matter expert internally and externally.

Requirements

• Current Workday Financials Certification.
• Previous consulting experience within a Workday Partner organisation.
• Extensive experience leading and architecting Workday Financials implementations.
• Deep expertise in Workday Financial Management and Foundation Data Model (FDM).
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Lead Architect or Principal Consultant on enterprise-scale Workday programmes.
• Experience engaging with executive-level stakeholders and leading strategic client discussions.
• Strong understanding of finance transformation, operating models and shared services environments.
• Experience across multiple implementation lifecycle phases, from discovery and design through deployment and post-go-live support.
• Experience supporting business development, solution estimation or pre-sales activities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

• Certifications across additional Workday Financials products and modules.
• Experience with Procurement, Expenses, Revenue Management, Accounting Center and Reporting.
• Experience leading global or multi-country Workday deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution design and successful delivery of large-scale Workday Financials implementations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to CFOs, Finance Transformation Leaders and executive stakeholders.
• Provide architectural guidance and resolve complex functional and business challenges.
• Partner with delivery teams to ensure high-quality, scalable and sustainable solutions.
• Support pre-sales activities, including solution design, proposals, estimates and client presentations.
• Contribute to capability growth through mentoring, coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Help attract, develop and retain Workday talent.
• Represent Kainos as a Workday Financials subject matter expert internally and externally.
