Workday Application Developer
About The Position
Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Workday Application Developer to support and extend the Workday platform across HR, finance, and IT. The role includes Workday configuration, reporting, calculated fields, business process design, integration support, and lightweight application extension work. The developer will translate business requirements into clean, maintainable configurations and help stakeholders get more value from Workday. The position works closely with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to turn ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions. The successful candidate is expected to contribute engineering discipline through code and design reviews and mentorship of junior engineers, and to deliver work that performs reliably in production. This is a full-time, direct W2 role that is 100% remote in the U.S.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Five or more years of Workday technical experience.
- Deep expertise in Workday Report Writer, including advanced and composite reports.
- Strong proficiency with calculated fields across HCM and Finance.
- Hands-on experience configuring business processes and condition rules.
- Strong understanding of the Workday security framework.
- Experience with PRISM Analytics or Workday Extend.
- Familiarity with Workday tenant management and the release process.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice To Haves
- Workday Pro certifications.
- Experience with Workday Extend application development.
- Familiarity with PRISM data ingestion and modeling.
- Exposure to multi-tenant or multi-region Workday deployments.
- Experience supporting Workday Payroll or Workday Financials.
Responsibilities
- Configure Workday and design business processes, including condition rules.
- Design and maintain Workday reports, including advanced and composite reports, and calculated fields across HCM and Finance.
- Support Workday integrations and develop lightweight Workday Extend applications.
- Work with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into maintainable solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews and design reviews and mentor more junior engineers.
- Troubleshoot Workday issues and support tenant management and the release process.
