About The Position

The Student Accessibility Services department at the Eastern Campus is responsible for providing support services to students with disabilities. This office assists students with disabilities across all Tri-C campuses, addressing common disability types such as learning disabilities, sensory limitations, psychiatric conditions, physical mobility conditions, and chronic health issues. The role aims to develop professional competencies in customer service and communication, assist peers with college systems and resources, and build teamwork and problem-solving skills through collaboration with other student employees and staff. Additionally, it enhances leadership, teamwork, and intercultural competence by supporting campus events and engaging with diverse student populations.

Requirements

  • Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress
  • Adhere to College's confidentiality policy
  • Successfully pass background/drug screening
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new technology
