About The Position

This is a temporary hourly-intermittent work study student assistant position available in the Nursing department. The Student Assistant will provide clerical and administrative support to the School of Nursing office. This role involves maintaining records, assisting with general office operations, and supporting faculty and staff with routine administrative tasks while upholding confidentiality and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
  • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
  • Satisfactory completion of a background check.
  • Applicants will be required to disclose whether they have received a final administrative decision or final judicial decision determining that they have committed sexual harassment within the last 7 years before an offer of employment is extended.
  • Applicants who reach the final stages of the application process must sign a release form that authorizes the release of information by the applicant’s current and/or former employers to the CSU concerning any substantiated allegations of misconduct.
  • Individuals must be lawfully authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, sort, and maintain paper and electronic files to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
  • Scan, upload, and index documents into electronic filing systems.
  • File documents according to established office procedures and maintain confidentiality of student and departmental records.
  • Assist with copying, printing, collating, and preparing materials for meetings, events, and faculty.
  • Perform data entry and update departmental records with accuracy.
  • Maintain organized office workspaces, filing cabinets, and supply areas.
  • Monitor office supply inventory and notify staff when supplies need to be replenished.
  • Assist with special projects and other clerical or administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Follow university policies regarding confidentiality, professionalism, and workplace safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.
