About The Position

Temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study student assistant position available in Mail Services. This position is available on or after September 3, 2026, and will end on or before May 21, 2027. There is a possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

Requirements

Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.

Nice To Haves

Must possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license due to campus delivery and pickup responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Assist with sorting and distributing incoming campus mail and packages.
Assist with campus mail deliveries and pickups to departments and offices.
Provide customer service at the Mail Services counter and assist customers over the phone.
Help process outgoing mail, packages, and interoffice mail.
Assist with receiving, organizing, and preparing packages for delivery or customer pickup.
Operate basic mailroom equipment and assist with general Mail Services operations.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Communicate professionally with students, faculty, staff, vendors, and other campus customers.
Assist Mail Services staff with other related duties as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
