About The Position

The Employment Coach provides tailored and individualized job coaching for people with disabilities to support access, success, and retention in competitive integrated employment positions. The role coaches and trains individuals to develop workplace skills and learn and perform essential job tasks. It also involves collaborating with service providers, maintaining case files and related paperwork, and completing assigned duties and special projects. There are no direct reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Intermediate computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, database, and presentation software.
• Ability to communicate effectively through listening, verbal, and written communication.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to identify solutions to problems.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise flexibility.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with adults with disabilities is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid may be required depending on local, state, and/or contract requirements.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on local, state, and/or contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train individuals in the skills needed to succeed in the workplace.
• Coach and train individuals in learning and performing essential job tasks.
• Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with service providers and communicate progress toward goals.
• Assist in maintaining case files and related paperwork as required by PRIDE Industries and supporting agencies.
• Perform assigned duties and special projects.
