About The Position

The Employment Coach provides tailored, individualized job coaching for people with disabilities to support access to, success in, and retention within competitive integrated employment. The role includes working in office, customer worksite, and community environments, with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise. Clothing specific to the job site may be required. The position has no direct reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Intermediate computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, database, and presentation software.
• Ability to communicate effectively through listening, verbal, and written communication.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to identify solutions to problems.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise flexibility.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with adults with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train employees in the skills needed to succeed in the workplace.
• Coach and train employees in learning and performing the essential functions of job tasks.
• Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with service providers and communicate progress toward goals.
• Assist with maintaining case files and related paperwork as required by PRIDE Industries and supporting agencies.
• Perform duties and special projects as assigned.
