About The Position

The Employment Coach provides tailored and individualized job coaching for people with disabilities to support access, success, and retention in competitive integrated employment. The position coaches and trains employees in workplace skills and the performance of essential job tasks, collaborates with service providers to communicate progress toward goals, and assists with required case files and paperwork. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.

The role has no direct reports. Work is performed in a hybrid environment that includes an office, customer worksites, and community environments, with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise. Clothing specific to the job site may be required. The listed pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Intermediate computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, database, and presentation software.
• Ability to communicate effectively through listening, verbal and written communication, and presentation software.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to identify solutions to problems.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise flexibility.
• CPR/First Aid and a valid driver's license may be required depending on local, state, and/or contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train individuals in the skills needed to succeed in the workplace.
• Coach and train individuals in learning and performing the essential functions of job tasks.
• Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with service providers and communicate progress toward goals.
• Assist in maintaining case files and related paperwork as required by PRIDE Industries and supporting agencies.
• Perform duties and special projects as assigned.
