About The Position
The Event Work Experience Trainee position offers participants hands-on experience supporting community events, activities, and special programs. Trainees assist with event setup, guest support, and event operations while developing foundational workplace and customer service skills. This is a temporary work experience opportunity with a predetermined number of training hours. The opportunity is intended for individuals interested in gaining experience in event support, community programs, recreation, hospitality, or customer service. Applicants must be pre-qualified for a Goodwill SoCal work experience program. To determine eligibility, visit a Resource Center or Goodwill SoCal Career Services.

Responsibilities
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including tables, chairs, canopies, signs, and equipment.
- Support guests, help with participant check-in, and provide event information.
- Assist with crowd flow and event safety.
- Maintain clean and organized event areas.
- Help with event cleanup, supply storage, and proper handling of event materials.
