About The Position
Music & Arts is seeking a woodwinds teacher to teach and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels, builds relationships with students and parents through communication, goal-setting, and progress updates, and works with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The position is part-time at the Lawrenceville, New Jersey store.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
- Two years of music teaching experience, especially with woodwind instruments.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with related instruments.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
- Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
- Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments.
Responsibilities
- Teach music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Build positive relationships with students and parents through regular communication, goal-setting, and progress updates.
- Partner with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention.
- Share musical expertise to inspire students and foster their growth.
- Create an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment.
