Piano Teacher (Store #080)
About The Position
Music & Arts is seeking a music educator to teach piano lessons and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels; builds relationships with students and parents through communication, goal-setting, and progress updates; and partners with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The listed pay is $15.92 per hour for non-teaching work plus $11–$22 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience. Musicians may take gig leave to perform and return to their job afterward.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
- Two years of music teaching experience, especially with piano.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with voice or related instruments.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
- Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
- Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments.
