About The Position

RAS Ltd. is seeking a Wood frame carpenter to join their team. This position is responsible for producing high-quality prefabricated wood framing components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to production standards. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with team members to support daily manufacturing operations, maintain product quality, and contribute to a safe and organized workplace.

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications accurately.
  • Proficiency in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and manufacturing equipment used in wood framing and component assembly.
  • Strong knowledge of wood framing methods, measuring techniques, and assembly procedures.
  • Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a recognized carpentry apprenticeship program, or a combination of several years of relevant work experience in carpentry or wood framing and related training, is considered an asset.
  • 1–3 years of experience in wood framing, carpentry, or prefabricated construction, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and production specifications to assemble prefabricated wood framing components accurately.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble lumber and other building materials to manufacture wall panels, floor systems, roof sections, and related structural components.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic equipment, and production machinery safely and efficiently during the manufacturing process.
  • Assemble, fasten, and join wood framing components in accordance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and production requirements.
  • Inspect completed components to verify dimensions, structural integrity, and compliance with quality specifications, making adjustments as required.
  • Handle, organize, and stage raw materials and finished products while minimizing material waste and maintaining efficient workflow.
  • Meet daily production schedules and manufacturing targets while maintaining a high level of workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of tools, machinery, and workstations to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Work collaboratively with production personnel, supervisors, and quality control staff to resolve production issues and maintain continuous workflow.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of tools and equipment.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material deficiencies, or production concerns, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment in accordance with company policies and established production standards.
