About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a welcoming and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, helping customers make purchasing decisions, and maintaining merchandise and the sales area.

The associate maintains product knowledge through ongoing training, stays informed about advertised sales, and maintains pricing and signage. The position also involves replenishing and restocking merchandise, assisting with seasonal floor moves, keeping the work area clean and supplied, and following company policies and procedures. Duties are performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations for improving work practices.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk during the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and courteously, and provide information, assistance, and direction.
• Demonstrate products and help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs, including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and as required.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
