About The Position

The Women's Sales Associate, referred to in the position summary as a Sales Outfitter, performs selling and customer-service activities. The role involves greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise carefully, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The associate supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience and helps customers make buying decisions through needs assessment and product recommendations. The position also involves maintaining product knowledge, merchandising and restocking merchandise, and following company policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate with customers and associates in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to customer service and help ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for customers.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and business needs.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product-knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and adequately stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products based on that assessment.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
