About The Position

The WMS Operations Analyst serves as the primary liaison between operations, customers, and IT for all Warehouse Management System (WMS) needs. This role involves providing Level 1 WMS support, including analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues, with escalation to IT Support when necessary. The analyst will configure the WMS to align with operational workflows and business requirements, document system issues and change requests, and support system testing and implementation activities. Additionally, the role includes training new hires and existing warehouse teams on WMS functionalities, maintaining system documentation, and participating in cross-functional projects to optimize WMS performance. Ensuring adherence to WMS best practices and standard operating procedures is crucial. The position also requires maintaining knowledge of relevant IT hardware and performing additional duties as needed to support WMS and daily operations.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in warehouse operations, IT systems support, or related fields (internships welcome).
  • Basic understanding of warehouse processes (receiving, picking, packing, shipping).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with a desire to grow into an advanced SME role.
  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Any WMS-specific training or certification (Softeon, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Körber, etc., if available).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact between operations, customers, and IT for all WMS-related needs.
  • Provide Level 1 WMS support: analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues; escalate to IT Support when needed.
  • Configure the WMS to support operational workflows and business requirements.
  • Document system issues, steps to recreate problems, and communicate change requests clearly.
  • Support system testing, validation, and go-live activities for new implementations and upgrades.
  • Assist in training new hires and provide ongoing WMS training to warehouse teams.
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and training materials.
  • Participate in cross-functional improvement projects to optimize WMS performance.
  • Ensure adherence to WMS best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain working knowledge of IT hardware such as RF devices, vehicle mounts, printers, and workstations.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the WMS and daily operations.
