About The Position

Design Ready Controls is seeking a Wire Harness Assembler to join its production team. The role is responsible for building wire harness products and contributing to the organization’s success and growth. The position involves working from engineering and manufacturing documentation, assembling harnesses using harness boards, and supporting quality, safety, training, and process improvement activities. Second-shift openings are available.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent.
Proficiency using precision measurement tools such as a tape measure or ruler.
High motivation and ability to multitask.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to work well with others.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
Safety awareness and safe work practices.
Good math and communication skills.
Demonstrated computer skills.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English without the aid of an interpreter.
Ability to work overtime depending on workload.
Visual acuity sufficient to distinguish wire colors and read small print on wire.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in an ISO environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Build wire harnesses from documentation.
Crimp terminals on wire.
Read, understand, and use engineering and manufacturing documents, including bills of materials and wire lists.
Make harnesses on harness boards using schematics, 2D documents, and engineering part numbers.
Identify issues in reports and work with engineering to correct them.
Document quality-control and problem-resolution logs.
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.
Assist with 5S and Lean activities as required.
Identify and assist with process-improvement measures.
Assist with training as needed.
Assist in other manufacturing areas as needed.
Promote customer focus throughout the organization.
