Wire EDM Machinist - 1st Shift
About The Position
rms Company, part of the Cretex Medical family of companies, provides contract manufacturing of high-quality, tight-tolerance medical implants, components, and sub-assemblies using advanced technology. The EDM CNC Machinist operates CNC machines to support the manufacture of components and devices for the medical device industry. This position is scheduled for first shift, Monday through Thursday, from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A sign-on bonus of $1,000–$5,000 is available, depending on experience. The stated pay range is $21.20–$40.67 per hour. Cretex companies use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in manufacturing. Periodic testing is conducted to ensure chemical levels remain well below OSHA permissible exposure limits.
Requirements
- Experience operating EDM CNC machines.
- Strong math background, preferably in machine math or shop math.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience using a microscope.
- Ability to read measurement equipment such as a micrometer, caliper, and pressure micrometer.
Nice To Haves
- Machining experience with medical components, devices, or instruments.
- Previous experience working with tight tolerances.
- Programming experience with EDM CNC machines.

- Experience troubleshooting EDM CNC machines.
Responsibilities
- Operate EDM CNC machines.
- Perform quality inspections on completed parts.
- Perform preventive maintenance on EDM CNC machines to ensure consistent machine performance.
