About The Position

Nesco Resource is seeking a 2nd Shift Wire EDM Operator for a temp-to-perm opportunity in Brookfield, CT. The role involves setting up and operating multiple Wire EDM machines to maximize efficiency, utilizing hand measurement tools, and collaborating with process engineering to improve processes, reduce scrap, and increase productivity. The operator will also be responsible for other duties as assigned by the EDM Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.

Requirements

High School Degree or equivalent required.
3- 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret production work instructions, routers and specifications.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from operators and to upper management and auditors.

Responsibilities

Manage the set-up and operation of multiple EDM machines for maximum efficiency
Use of hand measurement tools
Be aware of department goals and workmanship
Collect information to work with process engineering to improve processes, reduce scrap and increase productivity.
Other responsibilities as required by the EDM Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.
