About The Position

rms Company provides contract manufacturing of high-quality, tight-tolerance medical implants, components, and sub-assemblies. As part of the Cretex Medical family of companies, rms uses cutting-edge technology to manufacture products for the medical device industry. The EDM CNC Machinist operates CNC machines to support the manufacture of components and devices. This position is available on first shift, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A sign-on bonus of $1,000 to $5,000 is available depending on experience level.

Requirements

Experience operating EDM CNC machines.
Strong math background, preferably in machine math or shop math.
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience using a microscope.
Ability to read measurement equipment, such as a micrometer, caliper, and pressure micrometer.

Nice To Haves

Machining experience with medical components, devices, or instruments.
Previous experience working with tight tolerances.
Programming experience with EDM CNC machines.
Experience setting up EDM CNC machines.
Experience troubleshooting EDM CNC machines.

Responsibilities

Operate EDM CNC machines.
Perform quality inspections on completed parts.
Perform preventative maintenance on EDM CNC machines to ensure consistent machine performance.
Complete tool changes.
