Winter Food & Beverage Van Driver
About The Position
Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is hiring a seasonal Winter Food & Beverage Van Driver for the winter operating season. The driver safely transports employees between the park-and-ride lot and work locations, and transports items between Bogus Basin locations. The role supports daily operations by keeping employees and resources moving efficiently while maintaining safety and customer-service standards. The work includes operating company vehicles in winter weather, assisting guests with questions or concerns, and communicating hazards or operational issues to management. The role is based at Bogus Basin in the Boise National Forest, Idaho, and is available from mid-October through mid-May. Working conditions include both indoor and outdoor settings and exposure to inclement weather. Bogus Basin is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit recreation area whose mission is to provide accessible, affordable outdoor recreation, education, and community programming. The organization describes its workplace as inclusive, supportive, and community-focused. This is a seasonal role with opportunities to return each year.
Requirements
- Passion for Bogus Basin’s mission.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to safely operate assigned vehicles in winter weather conditions.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
- Basic vehicle service knowledge.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Availability to work mid-October through mid-May.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport employees in company vehicles between the park-and-ride lot and work locations.
- Transport items between Bogus Basin locations.
- Follow all laws and regulations for operating a motor vehicle.
- Prioritize safety and report unsafe road or mountain conditions.
- Assist guests with questions or concerns and escalate matters to management when necessary.
- Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a professional attitude toward guests and staff.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
