About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Winding Operator - 3rd Shift. This role requires maintaining a high level of proficiency in all winding operations within the department. The individual must collaborate effectively with Group Leaders and the Production Supervisor to support an efficient production flow in the manufacturing of capacitor packs. This position involves operating winding machines to produce capacitor packs while ensuring consistent product quality.

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

  • Only candidates within a 50‑mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Load film and foil onto the machine, ensuring correct orientation, alignment, sizing, and proper identification of all in-process materials.
  • Operate winding equipment to produce capacitor packs, removing finished packs from the stacker and placing them onto carts for transport.
  • Accurately document production activity, including marking tickets with operator, machine, material, and date; scanning completed tickets into the LXE system when carts are ready for staging.
  • Complete all required production and operational documentation, including production reports, scrap and downtime reporting, quality logs, SPC data, 5S/TPM logs, and housekeeping records.
  • Follow all quality procedures by inspecting finished products for function and appearance, reviewing Quality Alerts, verifying process card presence, confirming capacitance and turn checks, and ensuring proper operation of error-proofing devices while addressing any process deviations.
  • Communicate and escalate unresolved issues to the Supervisor or Group Leader as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by performing regular 5S housekeeping activities.
  • Certification to safely operate a hoist is required.
  • Completion of annual electrical safety training is required.
