The Winding Operator will be responsible for operating spiral winders and cut-off saws to fulfill customer orders, ensuring product quality and adherence to specifications.

Requirements

High School education/GED
1-2 years of manufacturing experience
Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, stoop and twist throughout the work day.

Responsibilities

Operate spiral winder and cut-off saws and other miscellaneous equipment to fill customer orders.
Read and understand spec sheets and production orders to set up machines correctly to produce a quality product.
Measure, caliper, and check the overall quality of tolerances per spec sheet.
Understand all machine operations to cut the product to spec sheet/customer specifications.
Operate the machine effectively and efficiently to minimize waste.
Analyze packaging and make adjustments when needed.
Identify quality deficiencies and perform corrective actions.
Communicate finished product status regarding production orders.
Comply with safety regulations/procedures and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Accept and receive supervision and assistance with machine set-up and other assigned tasks.
Lift 50 lbs., bend, stoop, and twist throughout the work day.
Thread winders to produce a quality core utilizing various layers of paper.
Perform Snake Lace technique continuously to secure tubes for transport.
Tie bundles, pack boxes, stand on end, etc.
