The Wildlife Division of Kentucky Fish and Wildlife is currently seeking a candidate to work within the Farm Bill Branch.
Requirements
- Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a biological science, wildlife biology, fish and wildlife management, conservation biology, natural resources, environmental sciences, or related field.

- Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification.
- Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
Nice To Haves
- A knowledge of the conservation provisions of the Federal Farm Bill.
- Knowledge of or practical experience with agricultural systems and farming.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with landowners and partner agencies.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision and with diverse clientele.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and conservation program to private landowners.
- Provide wildlife technical support and planning at the NRCS Area Level.
- Work with KDFWR Programs, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) as well as other State and Federal partners to promote, coordinate, and implement wildlife conservation/management across the Commonwealth on private property.
- Activities will include program promotion (workshops and one on one meetings), conservation planning, contract coordination, conservation plan modification, site assessment and reporting.
