About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Wi-Fi Test Engineer with over 3 years of hands-on experience in networking or embedded systems testing, specifically with Wi-Fi routers, gateways, or access points. The role involves performing router firmware validation and testing within networking and Linux systems. You will be responsible for executing various test methodologies including Sanity Testing, Stress/Soak Testing, Regression, and End-to-End Functional Testing. A strong understanding of Wi-Fi standards, wireless security protocols, and common Wi-Fi performance bottlenecks is essential. Proficiency in Linux/Unix terminal environments and packet capture/analysis tools is required.

Requirements

  • Over 3+ years of hands-on experience in networking or embedded systems testing (preferably with Wi-Fi routers, gateways, or access points).
  • Linux Proficiency: Comfortable working in a Linux/Unix terminal environments—using core commands, standard tools, shell scripts, and basic Linux process monitoring.
  • Packet Capture & Traffic Analysis: Strong experience using Wireshark, tcpdump, and Wi-Fi air sniffers to capture and analyze network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, ARP, ICMP).
  • Test Methodologies: Solid background in Sanity Testing, Stress/Soak Testing, Regression, and End-to-End Functional Testing.
  • Wi-Fi Knowledge: Familiarity with Wi-Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be), wireless security protocols (WPA2/WPA3), and common Wi-Fi performance bottlenecks, and WPS.

Responsibilities

  • Perform router firmware validation and testing within networking and Linux systems.
  • Execute sanity testing, stress/soak testing, regression, and end-to-end functional testing.
  • Utilize Wireshark, tcpdump, and Wi-Fi air sniffers to capture and analyze network protocols.
  • Work within Linux/Unix terminal environments using core commands and shell scripts.
