About The Position

LKQ Corporation is hiring a Wheel Polish Production Technician to meet product quality standards and production deadlines. The role involves operating and maintaining production equipment, assembling machinery parts, inspecting products and machinery for defects, handling and storing materials, and following safety and quality procedures. The technician works under the guidance of a supervisor or manager and is not responsible for supervising employees. This is a second-shift position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• Previous experience as a production worker or in a similar warehouse role.
• Good understanding of how production equipment works.
• Ability to detect potential problems with machinery.
• Knowledge of basic safety rules and precautionary measures; safety gear will be provided.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and transfer them manually.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate basic messages orally, write brief messages, and keep simple records.
• Ability to follow clear directions, standard procedures, and supervisor or manager guidance and assignments.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment.
• Maintain warehouse machines.

• Meet deadlines for individual production tasks during the shift.
• Report defective products or machinery.
• Check stock levels and report shortages of products or raw materials.
• Keep the worksite clean to reduce hazards from chemicals and fragile products.
• Review and follow manufacturing manuals to build machinery.
• Ensure shipping procedures are timely.
• Transfer equipment manually or with forklift trucks.
• Follow company safety and quality guidelines.
