About The Position

Cargill is hiring a Wet Side Operator for its Food Enterprise, which serves food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with ingredients and branded products. The role supports a salt manufacturing and packaging facility by operating equipment and brine well systems, conducting product quality testing, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining safe and clean work areas. The position is full-time on a weekend schedule: Thursday through Sunday, either 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Compensation is $33.18 per hour, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus. The position does not include relocation reimbursement.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English, both in writing and verbally.
• Ability to safely perform physical job duties, which may include bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in elevated areas four feet and above.
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, potentially including heat, cold, dust, and loud noise, while using personal protective equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice.
• Able and willing to work night shifts.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED, or at least two years of relevant work experience.
• Previous experience operating pumps and boilers.
• Experience operating a forklift and/or similar equipment.
• Prior production experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate facility equipment safely and efficiently using computerized controls and physical adjustments.
• Perform product quality testing and housekeeping tasks.
• Troubleshoot equipment to help ensure efficient and consistent operation.
• Operate brine well systems, including injection pumps, storage tanks, and valves.
• Understand and follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
