About The Position

Basalite Building Products, LLC is hiring a Wet Cast Operator to support wet cast production operations. Under the supervision of the Superintendent, the operator performs production tasks and works as part of a team, rotating duties as needed to meet the production schedule. The role involves operating production equipment, monitoring equipment function and production efficiency, checking product quality, and supporting the company’s core values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation, and Financial Success. Other related duties may be assigned. This is a regular, full-time position. Predictable and regular attendance is required, and overtime and weekend work may be needed. The plant environment can involve moderate to very loud noise, moving and vibrating machinery, dust, fumes and airborne particles, chemicals, wet or humid conditions, and hot or cold temperatures. Work areas may include elevated platforms. Mandatory and/or appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn.

Requirements

Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
On-the-job training experience to perform the duties.
Ability to operate a demolder, vacuum lift, forklift, and other equipment required for the duties.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

Operate the forklift, demolder, and batching system efficiently and safely.
Check molds for wear and proper coloring.
Track inventory products for production.
Feed the production line.
Accurately complete daily wet cast reports.
Supervise and delegate duties to subordinates.
Check blocks for proper quality, including color and chipping.
Clean the work area.
Follow company and regulatory safety rules, and ensure hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the company or its representatives.
Maintain predictable and regular attendance and work overtime and weekends as needed.
