About The Position

Lead growth in one of the most critical regions for industrial electrification and power systems. As a Regional Sales Manager for Motors & Drives Distribution, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening distributor partnerships, and expanding market share across the Western U.S. This role blends strategic account management, channel development, and technical sales leadership. You’ll work closely with distributors, OEMs, and end users while partnering internally with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to deliver value-driven solutions. Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience in industrial, electrical, or technical product environments
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience managing or supporting distribution channels, key accounts or territories
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or related field (preferred)
  • Equivalent industry or military experience considered

Nice To Haves

  • Background in electric motors, adjustable speed drives (VFDs), or industrial power systems
  • Experience working with distribution networks or channel sales models
  • Understanding of industrial markets such as manufacturing, oil & gas, utilities, infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive sales growth across the Western U.S. territory through distributor and channel partners
  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies aligned to overall business objectives
  • Identify and capture opportunities for new customer acquisition and expansion within existing accounts
  • Achieve or exceed district revenue, margin, and growth targets
  • Build, develop, and manage relationships with distribution partners and key accounts
  • Conduct joint sales calls, training sessions, and on-the-job coaching (OJT) with distributor teams
  • Ensure partners maintain appropriate inventory levels and service capabilities
  • Drive alignment with company strategy, pricing, and market positioning
  • Develop strong relationships with end users, OEMs, and EPC customers
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer needs and recommending optimal solutions
  • Represent the company with professionalism in all customer-facing activities
  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and service teams
  • Support project execution and ensure customer commitments are met
  • Assist in resolving commercial and technical issues throughout the sales and project lifecycle
  • Provide insights on market trends, competitive landscape, pricing strategies, and growth opportunities
  • Influence business decisions by sharing customer feedback and market intelligence
  • Identify emerging opportunities across industrial markets, infrastructure, energy and utilities
  • Maintain and improve project margins and pricing discipline
  • Manage expenses and territory budget performance
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to leadership
  • Provide leadership and direction across internal teams and external partners
  • Resolve conflicts professionally and drive results across organizations
  • Maintain high levels of accountability for performance and execution
