About The Position

Under limited supervision, the Wellness Program Manager is responsible for implementing and managing the Wellness Program. This role will focus on improving wellness outcomes, fostering community partnerships, and ensuring program initiatives align with contract requirements and Hill Country Community Clinic’s mission and goals. Additional duties of the position include monitoring and coordination of properties and programs in eastern Shasta County. Including but not limited to the following: Coordinate property upkeep, repairs, and cleaning with HC Maintenance, Property Manager, volunteers and vendors Coordinate vehicle maintenance with HC Maintenance and vendors Coordinate/oversee our programs, as needed – Circle of Friends, Case Management, Representative Payee

Requirements

  • Must have knowledge of principles of rehabilitation, recovery and consumer empowerment
  • Must have at least 5-10 years experience in the field related to the program, including experience managing staff and working with volunteers.
  • CPR certification is preferred, must have valid CA driver’s license.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to speak publicly and one-on-one in an effective and persuasive manner.
  • Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to listen and understand and communicate information.
  • Must have intermediate math skills, sufficient to help clients develop budgets and manage personal finances. This includes basic abilities to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Must have very high reasoning skills.
  • Ability to assess mental status and determine needs for emergency interventions or other forms of care.
  • Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet browsers and related software.
  • Proficient with standard office equipment including computers, copiers, fax machines, printers, multi-line telephone systems.
  • Must be an experienced driver and comfortable driving with passengers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage implementation of the wellness program.
  • Oversee collaboration with community service agencies to develop and implement the program.
  • Train, coordinate, and supervise staff and volunteers.
  • Oversee external relations with the community.
  • Develop and monitor the wellness program budget.
  • Collect and report data according to contract requirements.
  • Develop a network of services, donations, and volunteers from community-based organizations to ensure continuation of the program.
  • Meet all federal, state and local obligations regarding operation of the program.
  • Develop protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain a sense of teamwork among volunteers and staff as well as among staff and service providers.
  • Promote Hill Country Community Clinic programs in the community.
  • Attend designated community service provider meetings.
  • Network with and maintain a positive relationship with other community service providers.
  • Accurately communicate Hill Country’s mission, vision and goals.
  • Provide the message of the Agency’s Mission to others.
  • Interface with other clinic administrators in a positive manner that reflects a team approach.
  • Conduct regular travel within the county for outreach, community engagement, and program implementation.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
  • Supervise and mentor wellness program staff, including coordinators, educators, and volunteers.
  • Provide training on best practices in health promotion and community engagement.
