About The Position

Farmington Station is an assisted living and memory support community in Farmington, Connecticut. The Wellness Nurse assists the Resident Care Director with managing, directing, and developing a comprehensive care program for community residents. The role also supports training and management of the CNA team and serves as a liaison with family members, community agencies, physicians, and care providers. This is a part-time position with available Wednesday or Thursday evening shifts and every-other-weekend shifts. Pay starts at $33 per hour.

Requirements

Valid Connecticut license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
At least 1 year of experience working with elderly people and/or Alzheimer's populations.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, and transfer residents, with and without assistance.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and physicians.
Punctuality and reliability.

Responsibilities

Assist the Resident Care Director with managing, directing, and developing a comprehensive care program for all residents.
Assist with training and managing the team of CNAs.
Serve as a liaison with family members, community agencies, physicians, and care providers.
