Wellness Nurse (LPN) [nursing]
About The Position
Farmington Station is an assisted living and memory support community in Farmington, Connecticut. The Wellness Nurse assists the Resident Care Director with managing, directing, and developing a comprehensive care program for all residents. The role also assists with training and managing CNAs and serves as a liaison with family members, community agencies, physicians, and care providers. The position is part-time, with one of two listed schedules: Wednesdays from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and every other weekend from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM; or Thursdays from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and every other weekend from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Rates start at $33 per hour.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Connecticut license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
- Have at least one year of experience working with elderly people and/or Alzheimer's populations.
- Be able to stand, sit, bend, and transfer residents, with or without assistance.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and physicians.
- Be punctual and reliable.
