Wellness Nurse (LPN, RN) [nursing]
About The Position
Forestdale Park, an assisted living and memory support community in Malden, Massachusetts, is hiring a Wellness Nurse. The role assists the Resident Care Director with managing, directing, and developing a comprehensive care program for community residents. The Wellness Nurse also helps train and manage CNAs and acts as a liaison with family members, community agencies, physicians, and care providers. This is a part-time position scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday evenings. The starting rate is $35 per hour. Forestdale Park describes its work environment as safe, home-like, and fun, and its Resident Care team provides direct care to senior residents.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Massachusetts license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
- Have at least one year of experience working with elderly people and/or populations with Alzheimer’s.
- Be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and physicians.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Be able to stand, sit, bend, and transfer residents, with and without assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Resident Care Director with managing, directing, and developing a comprehensive care program for residents.
- Assist with training and managing the CNA team.
- Serve as a liaison with family members, community agencies, physicians, and care providers.
