About The Position

Allegro Fort Lauderdale is seeking a dependable, experienced Wellness Nurse (LPN) for a light part-time schedule — just two days per week in one of South Florida's premier senior living communities. This role involves providing clinical oversight and nursing care for Assisted Living and Independent Living residents, administering medications and treatments, monitoring resident health, and communicating with families, physicians, and care team members. The Wellness Nurse (WN) is responsible for supervising the delivery of care and services to residents, performing procedures within regulatory guidelines, and ensuring ongoing communication with all stakeholders. The WN also provides daily supervision and leadership to assigned non-licensed associates, makes work assignments, and assists in identifying and correcting problem areas. Resident care is provided according to healthcare provider orders and in accordance with regulatory requirements, recognized nursing practice, established standards, and Company policy. This includes accurately administering prescribed medications, supervising the continuity of resident care, responding to changes in resident condition, and performing first aid as required. Other job duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Active LPN license in good standing in Florida — required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an ALF setting or healthcare agency — required
• CPR/First Aid certification — required
• Strong clinical judgment and compassionate, resident-centered care
• Dependable and comfortable working independently
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with the state licensing agency, as required by state regulations.
• CPR/AED certified.
• Must have at least one (1) year of experience working as an LPN in a senior care setting.
• Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and nursing care for our Assisted Living and Independent Living residents
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and care plans
• Monitor resident health and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Communicate with families, physicians, and care team members
• Support resident safety, dignity, and quality of life on every shift
• Provide daily supervision and leadership to assigned non-licensed associates and other designated personnel in meeting the residents needs and monitor the condition of residents in AL.
• Make work assignments and meet with associates regularly to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or the improvement of care and services.
• Provide resident care according to health care providers orders and in accordance with regulatory requirements, recognized nursing practice, established standards, and Company policy.
• Accurately administer prescribed medications, supervise the continuity of resident care, respond to changes in resident condition, medications, or other circumstances requiring special care needs and perform first aid as required.
