About The Position

Allegro Fort Lauderdale is seeking a dependable, experienced Wellness Nurse (LPN) for a light part-time schedule — just two days per week in one of South Florida's premier senior living communities. This role offers meaningful nursing work, done by early afternoon, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Wellness Nurse (WN) is responsible for supervising the delivery of care and services to residents, performing procedures within the guidelines of all state and local regulations and accepted standards of care. Ongoing communication between the WN, associates, residents and their families, professional consultants, and third-party providers is critical to the welfare of the residents.

Requirements

  • Active LPN license in good standing in Florida
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an ALF setting or healthcare agency
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Strong clinical judgment and compassionate, resident-centered care
  • Dependable and comfortable working independently
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with the state licensing agency, as required by state regulations.
  • CPR/AED certified.
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience working as an LPN in a senior care setting.
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • Adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical oversight and nursing care for our Assisted Living and Independent Living residents
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and care plans
  • Monitor resident health and respond promptly to changes in condition
  • Communicate with families, physicians, and care team members
  • Support resident safety, dignity, and quality of life on every shift
  • Provide daily supervision and leadership to assigned non-licensed associates and other designated personnel in meeting the residents needs and monitor the condition of residents in AL.
  • Demonstrate good decision-making skills.
  • Make work assignments and meet with associates regularly to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or the improvement of care and services.
  • Provide resident care according to health care providers orders and in accordance with regulatory requirements, recognized nursing practice, established standards, and Company policy.
  • Accurately administer prescribed medications, supervise the continuity of resident care, respond to changes in resident condition, medications, or other circumstances requiring special care needs and perform first aid as required.
