About The Position
The Wellness Center RN performs health and wellness duties that promote healthy lifestyles and support whole-person wellness opportunities for residents at Vi at La Jolla Village. The role may include educating and counseling residents and families on health promotion, creating newsletters, coordinating health screenings, and presenting monthly wellness briefs to promote wellness throughout the community. The nurse also provides direct care and maintains clinical records for residents receiving care in the Wellness Center.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Graduation from a School of Nursing for Registered Nurses.
- Current state licensure in the state where practicing.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification.
- Current First Aid certification, or willingness and ability to become First Aid certified.
Nice To Haves
- Previous work with the geriatric population is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate in resident and family education and counseling on health promotion.
- Create newsletters and coordinate health screenings.
- Present monthly wellness briefs to communicate wellness promotion throughout the community.
- Provide direct care to residents receiving care in the Wellness Center.
- Maintain the clinical record for each resident receiving care in the Wellness Center.
