The Spa Manager assists the Director of Spa and Wellness in overseeing the successful daily operations of the Spa. Requirements

  • Three years of management experience required; spa experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have excellent verbal skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of math
  • Be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
  • Be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Be able to operate a company vehicle or golf cart safely.
  • Be able to stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to work in a calm and quiet spa setting

Responsibilities

  • Assemble payroll reports and approve time cards for coordinator and therapists
  • Manage scheduling of Spa Therapists
  • Respond to time-sensitive guest requests for spa and wellness appointments
  • Oversee all aspects of the Therapist and Salon teams, including: o Maintain proper staffing, including hiring and efficient scheduling of therapists and salon staff according to established budget guidelines and demand o Onboard and train new therapists and salon staff according to SOPs o Write, implement, and update new therapist and salon SOPs o Ensure accuracy in appointments, scheduling, balancing, and schedules o Conduct semi-annual performance reviews
  • Work with Facilities team to ensure Spa is clean and ready for guests every day
  • Maintain common area guest supplies (locker rooms, fitness, pool, lounge) in conjunction with the assistant spa manager
  • Maintain salon and massage back bar supplies in conjunction with the assistant spa manager
  • Maintain respectful working relationships with other departments
  • Work with Spa & Wellness Director on service development and implementation
  • Work at the desk and the retail area welcoming and interacting with guests and leading by example
  • Manage retail skin and body care retail inventory and orders
  • Motivate the team and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Become familiar with spa services including massages, body treatments, manicures, pedicures, and facials
  • Serve as Manager on Duty
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers, and interact with our guests.
  • Must have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
