About The Position

Primary responsibility is to assist the Spa Director in providing leadership, direction and supervision of staff in the daily operations of the Spa, including, but not limited to, massage therapists, aestheticians. They will assist in overseeing the coordination of all providers, and will be directly involved in scheduling, as well as product inventory and ordering. The position will directly supervise massage therapists and aestheticians, while also assisting in providing consistent leadership to the Spa coordinator and Attendant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about wellness, possess strong leadership skills, and have experience in luxury spa environments.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in spa management, with experience in a luxury or high-end spa setting preferred.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of spa services, treatments, and wellness trends.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods (up to 8 hours or more) throughout the spa and resort property.
  • Frequent movement between treatment rooms, reception, and wellness areas.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 25 pounds (e.g., spa products, linens, promotional materials).
  • Occasional assistance in moving light equipment or spa furniture.
  • Frequent use of hands for handling products, equipment, and computer systems (POS, booking software).
  • Ability to perform light cleaning and organizational tasks.
  • Clear vision to read schedules, reports, and product labels.
  • Effective verbal communication to interact with guests and staff, including active listening.
  • Work in a spa setting with exposure to heat, humidity (steam rooms, saunas), and various scents (essential oils, aromatherapy).
  • Occasional exposure to cleaning products and chemicals in compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to handle guest concerns professionally and manage staff effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily spa operations, including scheduling, staff management, and service delivery.
  • Supervise and support spa therapists, aestheticians, and front desk staff, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.
  • Crate and update SOPs as needed for massage and aestheticians.
  • Create and update SOPs in coordination with the spa supervisor for Spa Coordinator and Spa Attendant staff
  • Manage inventory of spa products and supplies, maintaining appropriate stock levels and overseeing vendor relationships.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and drive spa revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations across the spa.
  • Address guest concerns and service recovery in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to promote spa services, packages, and special events.
  • Monitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability, and assist in budget management.
  • Assist in staff training and development to ensure a knowledgeable and motivated team.
