About The Position

The Down Hole Diagnostics (DHD) Technician performs wellhead and downhole testing and supports well evaluations throughout the Greater Prudhoe Bay operating area. This is a remote, rotational position based in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, with a typical schedule of 84 hours per week: 40 straight-time hours and at least 44 hours at time and a half. Worley provides meals and lodging while employees are on location and transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay. The work takes place in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. The site is approximately 840 miles, or at least four hours by air ambulance, from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care. Medical evacuation may be significantly delayed by weather. The role requires physical activity in harsh conditions, including very cold temperatures and wearing Arctic gear. Company vehicles are equipped with in-cab cameras and monitoring systems that may record video and audio and collect GPS location and driving-behavior data, which management may review for safety and policy compliance. Requirements

Six months of petrochemical, oilfield, or Arctic experience.
High school diploma or equivalent GED.
Ability to acquire a Class A CDL with tanker and hazardous-materials endorsements within six months of employment.
Ability to be insured by Worley's auto insurer.
North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) training or certification; Worley can provide certification training if needed.
Ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
Ability to learn various DHD procedures.
Ability to drive in adverse weather or road conditions.
Ability to work at heights.
Ability to stand, walk on level, uneven, and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and maintain normal balance and coordination.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods and climb scaffolds, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and fixed wellhouse, tank, or facility ladders 20 feet or higher.
Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist and from floor to shoulder with two hands; carry 50 pounds for 15 feet; push or pull a 60-pound sled for 20 feet; and push or pull a 90-pound cart for 20 feet.

Nice To Haves

Current Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements and a current DOT medical card.
One year of experience working in the field of DHD.

Responsibilities

Assist other technicians with DHD tasks, including tubing integrity fluid-level testing, mechanical integrity testing, fluid-level surveys, Arctic pack depressurization, well bleeding of gas and fluid, and outer-annulus repressurization testing.
Research the history of wells involved in the work and learn to read wellbore schematics.
Perform well monitoring.
Calculate formulas to determine fluid level.
Perform bleeding operations.
Perform Tubing Integrity Fluid Level Surveys (TIFLs).
Perform Mechanical Integrity Tests (MITs), Combination Integrity Tests (CITs), No-Flow Tests (NFTs), and Liquid Leak Rate Tests (LLRTs).
Calculate fluid gradients and tubular and annular volumes.
Safely climb ladders of various heights.
Operate a Box Van and tow trailers used in DHD activities.
Drive for prolonged periods in darkness and inclement weather.
Use fall protection within manufacturer specifications and perform the physical activities required for work in harsh environments.
