About The Position

Glovis America is hiring a Heavy Equipment Technician for its Tacoma, Washington Equipment Processing Center. The center supports equipment processing and related operations involving construction equipment, aerial work platforms, forklifts, and farm machinery, including inspection, maintenance, repair, storage, delivery, and transport. In this hands-on, on-site role, the technician will inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair heavy equipment. The work includes diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, completing authorized repairs, and preparing equipment for storage, delivery, and transport. The position is full-time, pays $38 per hour, and has an ASAP start. Up to two positions are available.

Requirements

Relevant hands-on heavy-equipment experience.
At least 2 years of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, maintenance, or repair experience.
Ability to interpret schematics and use tools and diagnostic equipment.
Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
Safety-conscious approach to equipment maintenance and repair.
Basic computer skills for documentation.

Nice To Haves

Welding and painting experience or capabilities.
Experience with lifts, forklifts, construction equipment, or farm machinery.
Advanced diagnostic skills, equipment processing experience, or relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair heavy equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults and complete authorized repairs.
Inspect, test, and prepare equipment for storage, delivery, and transport.
Use diagnostic tools, diagrams, schematics, and service documentation.
Document inspections, repairs, parts used, and quality checks.
Coordinate with equipment and operations teams to support safe and efficient work.
Follow safety procedures when working with equipment, tools, and machinery.
