Welding Machine Operator-All Shifts
About The Position
Ideal Tridon Group is seeking a Welding Machine Operator to work at the Wesanco plant in Smyrna, Tennessee. The role operates a resistance welder and involves learning Wesanco’s welding processes, including changeovers, setting weld schedules, dressing and changing weld tips, performing quality checks, and reporting production and downtime. Hand and power tools are used during changeovers and to dress weld tips. The position is offered on three Monday–Friday/Sunday–Thursday schedules: first shift, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Monday–Friday; second shift, 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. Monday–Friday; and third shift, 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. Sunday–Thursday. The hourly rate is $21.00, with a $1.00 differential for second shift and a $1.50 differential for third shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Follow instructions and learn the production process.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and aptitude for operating machinery.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Be on time and ready to work.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift certification, or willingness to be trained and certified on a forklift.
- Spot welding experience.
- One year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
