About The Position

Maysville Community & Technical College is hiring a full-time, 10-month-term-contract Welding Instructor for its Maysville campus. This is a grant-funded, on-site position requiring an in-person presence on campus. The instructor manages classroom activities, teaches welding safety and processes, supervises and instructs students through projects, prepares laboratories, and develops and delivers customized curriculum.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Applied Science and four years of experience in the field, or approval from the Vice Chancellor of Academic Services.

Nice To Haves

• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• Experience and proficiency in blueprint reading and fabrication instruction.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel, using a PC platform.

Responsibilities

• Manage the classroom.
• Demonstrate, promote, and teach customary welding safety practices.
• Supervise and instruct students on a project-by-project basis.
• Prepare laboratories.
• Develop and deliver customized curriculum.
• Demonstrate and teach stick, MIG, and TIG welding processes.
• Teach acetylene/oxy-fuel cutting torch processes.
