About The Position

MIRATECH, a global leader in emission and silencing solutions, is currently seeking 2nd Shift Welders in Prior Lake, MN. This position offers a 3-day weekend every week, with second shift hours from Monday to Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM. Overtime may be required. Hired welders are eligible for a $2.00/hr shift differential.

Requirements

High School Diploma.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to use welding equipment and related tools effectively and safely.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Experience in using electrical or manual tools (grinders, saws, squares, calipers etc.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with a team lift.

Nice To Haves

Certification in welding from a recognized technical institute or trade school is highly desirable.
Welding certification a plus.
Able to interpret blueprints
Prior work experience as a MIG welder

Responsibilities

Perform MIG welding based on product needs, welding round and rectangular elements.
Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform the necessary task.
Knowledge of QC and product specifications.
De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture.
Knowledge of welding safety procedures and willingness to use PPEs provided.
Other duties as assigned.
